MARKET BULLISH … My rating opinion remains 8.0 (0 - 4 is bearish, 5 is neutral, 6 - 10 is bullish). The market remains bullish, but overbought and overvalued. You can expect Mr. Market to continue moving sideways and sideways-up, with a lot of volatility, both bold ups (on earnings and guidance) and downs (on 10-year T-Note rate increases).
IRS NEWS: In case you missed it, the IRS has pushed the April 15 tax-filing deadline to May 15.
MARKET CONCLUSION. No change. Not much else to say. Monday’s rally was a response to the outstanding jobs report on Friday. Jobs drive consumer spending and the economy. Fiscal stimulus and coronavirus inoculations, etc. are also pushing consumer confidence and consumer spending to post-covid highs. Stimulus checks address the economic contraction from coronavirus and the growing number of complete vaccinations bring about consumer-led economic growth. The future looks encouraging for the economy and for stock prices. Enjoy, while it lasts.
