STOCK MARKET RATING (THE BIG PICTURE) … 6.0 (1-4 bearish, 5 neutral, 6-9 bullish). I’m still optimistic, but cautiously so. With a few exceptions, not much has changed.
There is a lot of up-and-down activity in the market. The S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100 indices are performing better than the DJIA.
I’m using a scoring system to make picks from my list of monitored stocks in the hopes that consensus opinions of future prospects, institutional buying, price momentum, and value assessment will drive those stocks forward. We will know how well that worked out for us in a few months.
If it’s in the portfolio now, and has good gains, I’m holding on for the slow climb upward (again, a climb resulting from a lot of daily up-and-down activity). I’ll add back to trimmed positions if the opportunity presents itself.
