STOCK MARKET RATING … 7.0 (0-4 bearish, 5 neutral, 6-10 bullish), ASSUMING the Fed raises rates by ¼% tomorrow. Based on that assumption, my assessment of present and future market conditions is now a “7” out of 10, due to so many bullish signs.

What’s going on in the market? Lots of institutional buying -- lots of new highs – stocks advancing are far outweighing stocks declining -- great breadth (both value and growth stocks are moving up) – the market is above all of it’s important moving averages, oil/gas and gold are moving up – there is even selective buying in technology.
The credit card processors had great comments about upcoming consumer summer buying. Oil stocks and gold continue to do well - the former because of curtailed drilling and an expected mild recession and the latter because of a declining dollar due to an expected mild recession.
How long will this rally last? Who knows? The fast money crowd could be thinking it may be over and are reducing positions, the swing traders are probably just now moving in, and the buy-holders are most likely unimpressed, just plowing straight ahead..
I’m buying just a few stocks in selected sectors but am nearly fully invested in all accounts.
