STOCK MARKET RATING (THE BIG PICTURE) … 6.5 (1-4 bearish, 5 neutral, 6-9 bullish).  We have entered a bullish phase with today’s reduction in the CPI growth rate.

I have just a few random news ideas to present today.

FROM KEVIN O’LEARY: Since the U.S. central bank is committed to using monetary policy to bring inflation down to 2% over time, O’Leary believes more rate hikes could be on the way.  “The Fed may have to increase rates another 25 or 50 basis points as early as January, February. It will be a very hot political potato …. O’Leary said, adding that inflation has been “hurting presidential runs on both sides of the aisle” for decades. [1]

CHARLIE MUNGER, 99: Noted investment partner of Warren Buffett passed away Tuesday morning.

FROM WARREN BUFFETT:  As economic indicators shift, even seasoned investors like Warren Buffett are adjusting their outlook. In a recent announcement, the famed investor known as the “Oracle of Omaha” voiced his concerns about the state of the U.S. economy.  During Berkshire Hathaway’s annual meeting, he noted that the “incredible period” of growth for the U.S. economy is coming to an end, reported Max Reyes and Bloomberg for Fortune — and that most of the company’s businesses would likely score much lower earnings this year compared to the previous year.  Buffett’s cautionary comments stand in stark contrast to his typically optimistic stance on the U.S. economy.
