STOCK MARKET RATING (THE BIG PICTURE) …
Bullish/Bearish Rating: 5 = neutral (1 - 4 is bearish, 5 is neutral, 5 - 9 is bullish).
Market/Economic Condition: Normal market, approaching a peaking economy
Outlook: Selectively reinvesting sidelined cash, guarded and wary
The military action against Iran appears to be ending as quickly as it began. Experience has shown that, on average, markets are 12% higher in the next 12 months after hostilities have ceased.
It feels like the market wants to rally, but any rally is likely to be short-lived. An event that can move the market down significantly is only one headline away. It’s undeniable that long-range missiles are a threat, but drones are the future of warfare. Smaller size, harder to find on radar, and more maneuverable than missiles, they are challenging weapons to defend against. Drones are a challenging weapon that pose succinct challenges to opposing forces.
So, my market rating remains neutral at 5.0 – neither bullish nor bearish, my outlook remains guarded, and the market is functioning normally, reacting to events as one would expect. While it feels like the markets want to rally, I choose to remain skeptical at this point. A neutral rating accommodates bot bull and bear strategies.
