TWELVE oclock TUESDAY – 1/21/2020 - Stock Market Report

Updated: Jan 23, 2020

Still bullish …

Initial earnings reports have come in quite strong and expectations for the first quarter of 2020 and the full year 2020 have been good. Let’s hope that this week’s reports do likewise.

However, the market always looks ahead and we must keep an eye on this month’s economic reports to see if conditions are slipping. The trick is, the first quarter economic reports are notoriously unreliable and are subject to substantial revisions through May!

I have completed my website – it is defensiveadvisor.com – and I have a new email for clients and prospective clients only – it is RobertH@defensiveadvisor.com and is the only place where I will look for client emails. I will still use my prior email address for administrative issues, such as vendor communications and the like. So, please switch to using RobertH@defensiveadvisor.com – and send me a short email to acknowledge that you have read this message.

As you can imagine, website names ending in “.com” are mostly taken. I tried over 500 names, and this was the most suitable one I could come up with. I hope you like it. The idea is that I am both an offensive advisor (investing for opportunistic growth) and a defensive advisor (taking profits when risks are high to preserve capital).

So, for your amusement, it beat out such names as:

· nvestorcoach.com

· solidguidance.com

· saveforfreedom.com

· liquidityfocus.com

· startplanningnow.com

· and a few others (mostly famous Wall Street quotes) that no one liked:

o wealthyaredifferent.com

o clientsyachts.com

o marketwillfluctuate.com
